We wanted to update you on this feedback, since it receives votes often. We are currently working on our authentication flows. As a side-effect, this feature will become available. We are still working on it and expect it to become available late this year. We will update you once this specific feature becomes available.

We will enable 2FA by default for new users and when creating an user. It will be possible to toggle 2FA upon user creation.
We will also look at a backup/fallback method when you don't have access to your 2FA device.
